Suggestions will be entertained, and appreciated. :-/īTW, computer is an HP ProBook i5 laptop running Win10 Pro and the Arduino IDE. 32-bit issue? Perhaps a personal synapse issue. Or perhaps a complete Arduino IDE & driver reinstall is in order. I'm wondering now if I'd have better luck with a "real Arduino" Nano. Hell, I even followed the short procedure in Jack's book.
And I find it unlikely that FOUR Nano clones would all have the same issue at the same time. I'm a bit perplexed as I have SainSmart Uno's and Mega's that connect immediately using the same or similar drivers (either the CH341SER or FTDI). These Nanos have FTDI chips, so I downloaded and installed the FTDI drivers from FTDI. Since I had a couple of Nano clones that I purchased from SainSmart, I tried to access those but the same deal. I also have an unbuilt BitX40 with Raduino, so I tried that. I downloaded and installed the requisite drivers from the approved sources, yet no joy. In attempting to upload KD8CEC's uBitX firmware, I ran into an interesting problem - the Nano isn't recognized at all, no serial port, no USB convert, no nuthin' (sic).
